Let's do the good news first... John probably has a job.. In the fishing department of Gander Mountain UNLESS West Marine has a job for him.. Either one would make him happy... I would SURE MISS my housekeeper/yardman/furkid sitter but the time has come when he needs to pad the coffers a bit!!!!! Big Grin Big Grin Please pray that we are able to do what God wants us to do and not just what WE want...

Now for the bad news... Anyone familiar with the law and "taking the Bar Exam"? Well, you take it in July and WAIT AND WAIT AND WAIT until middle of October for the results.. You go to the Internet and scroll down the alphabetical list to see IF you passed.. IS MY NAME THERE.. OH, IT JUST HAS TO.. After ALL I have been through for about three or four years in law school and taking practice exams and paying LOTS of money for those exams and for the real one.. AND Frowner Frowner Frowner no... it isn't there.. Nothing to be ashamed of.. BUT it is a BIG DEAL!! Norris' son was SO EXCITED about becoming a REAL lawyer this Friday and it was not to be.. He can take it later.. Maybe six months I am not sure.. But he and his wife have been through SO MUCH, she lived in Knoxville and he lived in Nashville.. Now we just have to rearrange our lives at the office.. Norris was planning on cutting back on work.. Now he will have to change THAT plan .. Anyway, we will be taken care of...But I am still absorbing it in my head and heart.. I can't imagine what Ben and Margaret have gone through this weekend..

And other good news!! I got our new postage meter to work Thursday!!! Smiler

Patsy ...that is all definitely good news/bad news, and I feel for the young man who has worked so hard. Had a similar thing happen in my office last year, and this year it finally resolved itself ....and congrats to John!! Know he will be awesome at whichever job comes through first for him.

Dear Patsy,

I am so thrilled to hear about John gaining a paid job, mate. I know just how he has felt about that and I hope he finds fulfillment and companionship as well as a pay packet in this! He will be awesome at the job!

As regards doing God's will, He tends to be pretty silent about which job I should do (as long as it's legal etc) but He has stacks to say about HOW I should do the job. I guess we can serve God and others in many jobs but we have to be prepared to SERVE conscientiously.

I'll pray for Jack Norris's son. It's a real setback and disappointment, but nothing worth achieving was ever easy, otherwise everyone else would have already done it. My son is training as an accountant at night while working a full time job. It leaves practically no time for him to pursue his song writing and performing and the process will take him about a decade. I remind him of Winston Churchill's words: "Never, never, never, never, never give up" and "If you're going through hell, the important thing is to keep going."

Blesssings to you and yours, mate!

Your mate in The Land Down Under,

Grahame.

Thanks, ya'll.. And I love that last one, Grahame.. Maybe I can give that to Ben tomorrow.. He is so precious and sweet, just like his dad.. I think I shall be underneath my desk fixing something when he comes in tomorrow.. He doesn't need to see whatever my reaction is!! But his dad will know exactly what to say!! I'll ask HIM.. Smiler

Isn't there a country song out there about that? Something to the effect of "don't slow down, just keep going" Here's a link to the song If You're Going Through Hell
