B to E, eh? maybe try this: B C# D# E
E to D walk up? I don't know a good sounding one unless you do middle E (on the D string) low A string and on up B C# D? D to E can be done a few ways: just plain D D# E or D C# D D# E Walk downs are more fun, I think. B to E: low B then finger the F# on the low E string and bend it slightly a coupld of times (make it bluesy) and then land on a solid E or B A G# F# E is the normal way. another bluesy way is B G# bendy it too then E. My friend does a B G#/B E where the G#/B is quick and the B and E are full counts E to D can be simple E D# D or fun like I mentioned above. Hope these help Lisa "...Can't be sure of how it's going to be / When we walk into the light across the bar / But I'll know you and you'll know me / Out there beyond the stars..." J.R. Cash |

I wonder, what kind of a walkdown Luther uses in here from D chord to A chord? I've never got it right: http://youtube.com/watch?v=8_HL0WA_bas
And about Bob Woottons C chord in here: http://youtube.com/watch?v=m5tzUqtqRCI I've tried it too, but it's just so weird (C chord is right after the intro piece) |

Hi Steiner, Can you help me point out exactly where you are talking about for the D to A on Luther's? which phrase and verse or at about what minute/second the video is at? Then I can try to help you. For the Dukes song, are you talking about the Am chord right after the intro? Sometimes an Am and C chord sound similar because they share some of the same notes. If that's not it, please let me know the minute/second place here, too. Thanks! Patsy - you are funny! Love it! Isn't his walkdown like this:
D-0-----| A--4-2-0| ----------------------------- "I shot a man in Reno, just to watch him die." -Johnny Cash |

I believe that is right Cuban. I think his walk-up is like -------0 -0-2-4 ___________________________ "There will never be another Luther Perkins, can't be replaced", Johnny Cash. |

Hi Lisa, do you know what amp setting Bob uses in his Fender '65 Deluxe amp? Am I right if guess that Treble setting is biggest, then Middle and then Bass? Does he use very minimal distortion or what?

I'm sorry Steiner. Never looked on his Deluxe amp. It's a way cool amp sound, eh? Best wishes trying to figure it out by sound.
