Carl is in the hospital again with cellulitis and a blood clot in his arm.. He has never had cellulitis in his arm before and a blood clot so close to his heart has them concerned.
I try to understand all of this but it is SO HARD to know your child is suffering. I wish I could take his place.. I think this is the lowest I have been regarding him in a LONG time... My prayers are right there with you and Carl, mate. Suffering in this world seems so random and so cruel. God doesn't send it. His plan for this planet and for us was very different. However, God uses suffering as opportunities for us to grow and learn. Poor Carl has so much to deal with. I wish desperately that I could sit with him, trade some stories, distract him in some small way from his pain and perhaps minister to his practical needs. our prayers for Carl here too Patsy. Medicine has improved so much in the last few years, I know two people at work, or families of friends who've had dangerous blood clots, that through time, and blood thinners eventually went away, we'll pray for the best for Carl.

Thank you, dear friends, for all the prayers and concern..
Thankfully it was not a blood clot, just the cellulitis but he is still in the hospital having treatment. They have a VERY hard time finding a usable spot to put the intravenous line but so far so good.. This was a scary because as the doctor said, a blood clot is NOT another thing we need to deal with.
