It is almost time for Frankie to go to NYC for his surgery and unfortunately there still is no place for Wanda and John to stay.. If anyone is able, please go to his site and contribute to this cause..

Wanda said Frankie has been in considerable pain in the last few weeks but she told him not to worry about her lodging, that something would work out and there was always the park (Central Park)... This is one time I wish I had won a lottery..

I KNOW that anything anyone can do would be appreciated so much, just prayers if you are unable to do anything more..

Patsy, is there any way they could contact some of the churches near where the surgery will be? I'm fairly certain that if they explained the situation, one of the churches would put them up somewhere?

Or possibly a church near their home now, that could maybe fund a room for the duration?

It's hard to ask for help in such matters, I know personally...it hasn't been too many years ago, I had to approach our church about our rent and groceries during an unemployment stretch, it's embarrassing, but sometimes we have to try to get help. Like Johnny said, everyone should be able to get a little help when they need it.

I'll be praying for a solution too.

Charles, I would have NO PROBLEM asking for help from anyone for them. I would get out on the street corner and beg if it would help. But I really don't know where to start.. This is in the east part of NYC, i.e., the most expensive part of the city.. They need to be where they can get to and from the hospital on the subway or bus to keep down costs. I don't know enough about the churches in that area to know where to start.

I did give Wanda the telephone number of Ronald McDonald House and maybe they can advise them of a place to get help.. Time is getting very short and they have enough money to get through one week the last I heard.

Any suggestions are appreciated...

Frankie was to be in the hospital in NYC either today or yesterday.

I know he would appreciate our prayers.. His BIG surgery is on July 30....

Frankie had to cancel to cancel to going to New York until until Septenber 29th, because he has been in the hospital for the past six days with an infection to his legs and he is still on antibiotics intravenously through a pick line.

we had to readmitte frankie in the hospital yesterday with penmounia again..hopeful we caught it soon enough that his stay will not be for to long...he is in icu again...and of course we had to go through the main nurse to get permission that we will be staying with him as long as he is in the hospital...which they agreed to...i am getting ready to go back now and releve john...keeps us in you thoughts and prayers thanks love wanda

oh, no....really sad news..Prayers from here for Frankie. I hope he doesn't have to stay very long at the hospital.

Thank you so very much for the e-mail and for the caring and loving thoughts. I'm still so very weak from being in the hospital but my legs do look much better. The day before they were going to send me home they moved me to another step down floor, and I could not believe that the nurse came in my room sneezing into her hands. I asked her if she had a cold, and she replied yes indeed. The next day later they would not release me from the hospital because I was not doing as well. These hospital are such a dangerous breeding ground for infections and bacteria, yet, you don't want to hurt people's feelings, especially when they are taking care of you. It's a real Catch-22.

Thank you for letting me know about Bill Miller's father I will drop him a note as soon as I do say hello, thank you and goodbye to you :-)

I'm really disappointed that yesterday I was supposed to been having surgery in New York, but everything, EVERYTHING came to a complete halt until September 29th. But I know there is a reason for everything, so we will see, we will see...
