99 years ago today in S.W. Virginia, Maybelle Addington was born. She went on to marry Ezra Carter, give birth to three talented daughters. She was "a sweet Virginia kind of girl, known all around the world..." We remember you and your music today and celebrate your life!

Terry, so nice of you to remember Mother Maybelle on her birthday. Your thoughtfulness continues, as does our appreciation of Mother Maybelle. She contributed so much through her music, but also by being a wonderful mother to three talented and beautiful daughters as well as second mom to her famous son-in-law.

Another very sweet video, Jim...thanks, and thanks June for the kind words. I think most people who know me know how I feel about Mother Maybelle, and it is easy to take time to remember her on the date of her birth.

She was definitely the mother of country music and we all love her. I for one owe my appreciation of that wonderful lady to another wonderful lady, our Lady Terry.

Welcome back Cherie Baby!!
