One of the sweetest sounding singers of all time, Jim Reeves, was inspired to pick up the guitar by Jimmie Rodges and the Carter Family. Sadly, Jim's untimely death occurred July 31, 1964 as the result of his private plane crashing. Another great one that we still miss 45 years after his early death.
