Opened a new Forum for folks to share their photos and memories of our celebration.
We were past sold out and there was standing room only the whole event. Hundreds of fans from every point in the US and several parts of the world attended and celebrated Johnny's 77th in high style. WS and our celebrity guests mixed and mingled all day. Mike led our jam session and fans got to jam with Cashd Out, larry Bagby and WS. Imagine the thrill of WS Holland backing you! I'm still recovering from the 2:00 AM breakfast we had with everyone after the event, so I'll let others share their reports and experiences with everyone. It was a magical and amazing event. You could feel Johnny's presence... Bill Founder/Johnnycash.com |

Just great Bill!
Can't wait to hear all about it & see all the pictures! Johnny and June first met in 1956, though they weren't married until 1968. "The story goes that my father walked up to her, and that the reason he came (to the Grand Ole Opry that night) was he wanted to meet her. And he said, 'I'm going to marry you one day' here between these walls, and she said, 'Sure.' They were both married (to other people) at the time. That's pretty unusual." Everything about the celebration was wonderful: the talent, the facility, and most importantly, the host and hostess, Bill and Shannon Miller. Totally awesome, and an experience never to be forgotten.

Bill....WOW!
What a wonderful celebration this was! Thanks so much for making it possible, I think this was just outstanding. Your exhibits are fabulous, the talant was top notch, and you, Shannon and Blake were just as gracious as always. Getting to see Blake and his friend ( was it Lorenzo?) play was a special treat for us! Thanks so much to you all. I think seeing WS Holland jamming, doing the old Carl Perkins hits he played on had to be the absolute highlight, though. I still get chills thinking about it! He and his lovely wife (Joyce, I think?) were so sweet. Lou and Karen Robin were a pleasure to chat with, and Mike Horan did a great job with the radio show interviews AND jamming, leading the different guys and gals in their songs. It was just a WOW kind of time The stories Lou and WS shared about Johnny were so good, and I swear you could feel John's presense there from time to time throughout the night. Larry Bagby...what can you say? He is just a great artist, a truly good guy, fun, talanted and sweet! We so enjoyed his interview/stories. And that boy can sing and jam too! That brings me to Cash'd Out. These guys...if you don't have a good time, you must be dead! And even then, I think they could raise the dead, lol. What great guys...thanks, Doug, Kevin and Sean. And the gal who did June was just precious...what a great talent and funny gal. Everyone there was just so full of love for Johnny, and it was great to reconnect with old friends, and make some new ones! That is what it is all about...our love for Johnny and June Cash. Thanks to everyone involved, who made it possible with their hard work, funds, etc...I know it was a labor of love. And to everyone who came, performed, hugged, chatted...you are all a part of what makes these things work. Bless you all. aloha, Suzi (ps...I do have pics....and no Shiply...I am not paparatzi, my camera just ain't that good, yet....LOL) (pss......Jackie...you blew me away! What a great voice, gal!)
