We met up with Gina and Lisa (gren) in Nashville and visited the site of John's house. Here they are in front of the gate and the bell garden is behind them.

Ed and I in front of the sign for the Johnny Cash Highway.

Here we met Manuel, the designer for alot of the country music stars' embroidered and sequined outfits. He was quite taken with Gina's tattoo.

Ed poses by the autographed guitar near Tootsie's in downtown Nashville.

Ed thought he would crown his trip by returning with a new hairstyle or a new hat.

Next stop on the trip was the Gulf Coast of Florida where we were joined by our guide, Terry (Jimterry).

Finally, we hit the big town, DesMoines, Iowa where Ed joined forces with the infamous Skip Joens. After escaping from the girls at Hooters (and a number of beers) they switched to joint songwriting. Those Johnny Cash tunes they were singing and playing along with will never sound the same to me.

Ed heads back to New Zealand on Tuesday. We hope he is going back with alot of good memories of the good times shown him by the Cash Gang here in the states. Thanks especially to Lisa, Terry and Skip who opened their hearts and homes to him on his adventures. The gang at the Fold added a new dimension and plenty of memories too. Thanks guys.

Joan, the pictures were great. Jim and I enjoyed having you and Ed at our home, and I enjoyed our trip to the beach. The lighthouse picture on Boca Grande turned out great....Luke will love it, since his Dad worked there when Luke was just a gleam in his Daddy's eye!

Can't wait for next year. Hope Ed saves his pennies or whatever they call them in New Zealand so he can join us at CASHBASH.

Excellent photos, Joan, other than the one of me. Thanks for sharing! I hope Ed enjoyed his visit here in the States, and has some great memories to take back with him. I enjoyed all your pics, so thanks for taking us along with you by sharing them. It was great to see familiar faces, even my cyber daughter Gina, who I have yet to meet! The only thing that would've made this collection complete would have been a photo of you eating gator tail here in Florida! LOL.

Yep, Terry, I did love the Boca Granda lighthouse photo! Looks like you had the perfect day for it, weather-wise!

The one of Ed and Skip was hilarious, especially with THE MAN in the background, expressing himself. Was that planned, or serendipity? Wink

If you had heard the singing, John's gesture would make sense
