Hi,
I just returned from a short trip to Germany where I saw a fantastic J.C. Tribute Show which I can only recommend to every fan in Germany (or nearby). Go to Bochum, the town theatre, and see and listen: they had the brilliant idea to bring on stage his life through short sketches and with much life music. The two actors/singers - one for the young and one for the older J.C. - are really good, as well as the actress for June Carter. Look at their homepage for more information www.schauspielhausbochum.de . The whole show has been done with so much love and respect for J.C. and it has a great success! There are still some dates for this year. Hurry up!

Thanks Patsy, for your comment. I surely had a great time at the show. But most of all, I find it really amazing that there is still so much interest all around the world for a singer who is dead since 6 years now. Johnny Cash is still popolar in Germany. Anyhow, he never was in Bochum, where - since last year - a group of brave actors, singers and musicians did put together a show on the life of J.C. The show starts with "I am just a singer of songs" and that is the amazing point: every show is sold out and ends with standing ovations! Well deserved ovations. People still want to hear his music and learn more about the person, who said he is just a singer of songs... For us fans this might look normal, but as a matter of fact it is outstanding. And therefor I wished to share this experience on the forum. I hope that many of the fans (at least those in Germany) can make it to see the show in Bochum. It is still on stage on November 17 and on December 31 - so, if you want to finish the year 2009 in a great way and in good company, this is your occasion! You will hear the most terrific version of "Ghost riders" and the most touching version of the "Redemption" song and many, many other surprising new interpretations. Go and enjoy!
