Abe was out riding the cyber trails, stopped for a spell, and ran into this short movie that JRC did soon after filming his "Five Minutes"
It is called "Night Rider" however, it should have been called "Dont Take Your Guns To Town"

Of course John is the *star* however, it also stars Merle Travis, Johnny Western, Gordon Terry, Eddie Dean and, Dick Jones as "Billy Joe"

Hi Abe, What you actually stumbled upon was a rare pilot episode starring Johnny Cash that was made for TV. It was filmed in 1962. I have the DVD, and it was included with this movie "Five Minutes To Live" aka "Door To Door Maniac" (Johnny Cash's motion picture debut).

I have seen that before and between that, Five Minutes To Live and Chicken in Black, I would consider moments in Johnny's life that he would have liked to have bought back!! and We all have them.
Here is a little tidbit of a story that an old RocknRoller from Arkansas who made it huge in Canada named Rompin Ronnie Hawkins ( sang Mary Lou You stole My Watch and Chain ETC.) Ronnie was being interviewed and told about telling Johnny that He was going to write a book about Johnny's good old, bad old days to wit Johnny replied " I'll give you a million dollars not to " LOL,LOL,LOL,LOL,LOL,

I JUST KNEW a nano second after I hit "post now" that I should have included a *disclaimer* & warning about the quality(or lack of it...LOL...LOL ) of the acting & also knew it would be you to point it out LOL...LOL...(glad you did!!!!)
I'm pleased that JRC's acting abilities improved ten-fold
