I've just purchased a copy of this book, somehow it wasn't a part of my Cash library. I've read reviews from amazon, both good and bad.

Just wondering how many forum members have read this book and what rating they would give it. thanks in advance.

I have had this book for some time, and it has been several years since I read it. If I remember right, as I read it, I learned some new things, but also I was not always happy with remarks the author made about June and the Carter Family. Overall, the author, who is from Scotland, seemed to have interviewed a lot of people and did get some behind the scenes information...it would be interesting to know others' opinions.

"June was my solid rock. She was always there. She was my counselor, comforter, everything else. What a wonderful woman she was."....from the Final Interview with Kurt Loder in Bill Miller's book, Cash - An American Man.

I have read it and tend to agree with Terry.. It doesn't treat the Carters very well.. I probably won't read it again.. Frowner

thanks for the viewpoints, I'm certain I won't like parts too if it speaks ill of the carters, but I'll overlook the bad. I just always add books to my Cash Library, sometimes without researching LOL.

I own it and it's been a while since I read it. I think Terry's assessment is pretty accurate.
